The AURICAST team has over 25 years experience in the design, creation, and implementation of audio-visual environments. Just a few examples include touring systems for the Rolling Stones, Genesis, U2, and many others, theme park attractions for Paramount, digital highlight network for Fox Sports, monitor display and tally network for Fox Television, and screen control for the Baltimore Ravens stadium and the St. Louis Blues arena.

Irwin Roth - CEO
Mr. Roth is currently serving as CEO and Director of Auricast, Inc. Mr. Roth, a practicing attorney for over 40 years, specializes in securities and entertainment law and has served as CEO and on the Board of Directors for several public and private companies including Entertainment, Ltd., On-line Entertainment Network, Inc. and GlobalNet Systems, Ltd. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Platinum Entertainment Group, Inc., in Hollywood, California. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science in 1952 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1955 from the University of Michigan.

Michael Short - Chairman / President / COO
Mr. Short is serving as Chairman and COO of the Auricast, Inc. Prior to forming the Auricast Mr. Short served as CTO of Advanced Remote Technologies, Inc., which he founded in 1988. Mr. Short currently serves as CTO for V Entertainment Ltd., a company focused on multi-broadcast music events.

As a technologist, Mr. Short has authored international patents for interactive television, digital rights tracking, and distributed automated radio station syndication systems, designed integrated circuits as well as complete computerized products.

As a live event production specialist, he has designed, directed, and/or produced hundreds of events including The Rolling Stones, Genesis, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, and U2.

Mr. Short has a background in radio, television, and computerized automation. Mr. Short has authored the patent application for the Auricast system and is currently overseeing all of the technological systems and development for Auricast.

Neil Colvin - Director /CTO /Technology
Neil wrote his first computer program in Jr. High School and has since spent more than 40 years as a software architect and development team leader. Colvin was one of the earliest developers of microcomputer software as founder of Xitan, one of the first microcomputer hardware/software companies in America. In 1978, he co-founded K-Systems, which developed compilers for emerging micro- and personal computer systems.

As founder of Phoenix Technologies (in 1979), Colvin was principal architect of the company's BIOS and co-processor initiatives, and developed the first PC emulation software. Later sold to Insignia Systems, the product now known as SoftPC is one of the most widely used PC compatibility products for non-Intel platforms.

Colvin served as Chairman and Chief Executive of Phoenix through its IPO in 1988, and remained on the Board of Directors until his retirement in 1992.

In 1994, Colvin was one of the founders, and head of technology, for The Voice Works, a company which developed technology for enabling support desks to interact with their customers in real time.

In the non-technology arena, Colvin has produced plays, both on Broadway and regionally, two of which were nominated for Tony awards in 1997. He is also an actor, director, stage manager, and set designer. He as Chairman of Shakespeare & Company, one of the countries' largest Shakespearean companies, for nine years.

Colvin serves as director or consultant to a host of new companies, ranging from new technology firms to those involved in the arts

Thom Duell - Content and Manufacturing
Mr. Duell is President of Wynden Rayne Recordes and is currently Producer/Engineer/Song Writer /Arranger at SOUNDTEK STUDIOS in Campbell CA., and has been producing albums and working in the recording environment since the 1960's. He's worked with artists spanning country, rock, funk and jazz.

He played at the GRAND OLE OPRY in Nashville in 1991 and 92 and has preformed in front of coliseum crowds with many different bands, and experienced all the different facets of the music business inside and out. Experienced with all of the technologies in recording production from analog 2-track to digital multi track.

Thom has played with Dan Smith- Vice President of fender guitars, Chet Catello, Spyro Gyra, Chris Caswell, Paul Williams, Robert Berry, Sammy Hagar, and many others. He's recorded a number of albums and filmed specials for NBC, TNN, FOX, and CBS.

Michael MacKay - Information Architect
Mr. MacKay’s greatest contributions are in the area of creative problem solving and technical team management. Michael’s ability to structure and implement large-scale creative and technical solutions involving cross-disciplinary approaches has been repeatedly demonstrated.

For the past thirty years, MacKay has been actively involved in the digital media convergence. He is passionate about the creation, design, implementation and operation of multimedia environments for digital media production and dissemination.

MacKay has made significant advances in the area of Digital Broadcast, Intelligent Studios for Digital Media Creation, Digital Cinema, Dynamic Data Driven WWW Internet Content, Photonic Storage Area Networks, Collaborative Creation & Computing, Secure Portable Personal Preference Services, Interactive Video Programming and Digital Media Distribution Systems.

James D. Hudnall - Software Development
Mr. Hudnall has 30 years of IT experience and has been a professional writer for 20 years. He has been published in six languages and has one TV show made from his work (Harsh Realm). Another of his books is in development by Universal Pictures as a feature film. In addition to his writing James is an experienced software developer and database analyst. He's worked for almost every kind of industry from Accounting Firms to Wineries.

Mr. Hudnall just came to the area from Las Vegas where he spent 10 years working in and around the gaming industry. He's a graduate of Coleman College in San Diego.

Timothy Scott - Creative Director
Mr. Scott is the Creative Director, he began an Art and design career 27 years ago- with traditional art and mechanical drafting in college, through the undercurrent Art scenes and culminating in his pursuit of Internet Architecture and Technologies.

During this time he maintained a studio in Hollywood, and while working on traditional cell animation, he became part of the original design team for PHOTON-the first commercially developed laser tag system in the world.

In Los Angeles he sculpted the first 3 dimensional billboards, and, has completed multi-storied outdoor murals in 11 Major U.S. cities. Tim's jewelry, posters, and images are marketed and sold worldwide. He has worked as a designer and artist for everyone from Hughes Aviation to the Vatican. His experience includes Film and Motion Pictures, the music industry, national marketing and product development, and also Internet technologies.

Toby Cohantz - Business Development
With experience in manufacturing, government, and both small business and corporate management, Mr. Cohantz has proven business and entrepreneurial leadership skills. Over the past seven years Toby has been evolving and working in a vision for technology and entertainment that includes interactive television and mobile wireless entertainment.

Jay C. Brandon - Business & Sales
Mr. Brandon is currently serving as President of Training for Results, which specializes in Corporate Sales and marketing Development and as Director of Corporate Development for Totem Steel International. Jay has served as Director of Training for AT&T, Division Sales Manager Bell System, Public Relations Director for Bell System, Director of Sales for Multi-Nationals for Western Electric International, Sales Manager, Record and Music Distribution, and is the founder and owner of many small businesses

Mr. Brandon's Corporate Clients include Boise Cascade, Tektronics, Louisiana Pacific, Burlington Northern Railway, Noranda Canada UK, Hunter Timber UK, and Finn Forest UK. Jay's education includes Harvard, Wharton, Cambridge, and Portland State University. He is an honorary lifetime member of the Portland Business Alliance.
